Reverse options
Why don’t more designers do this? Ever since my Mickey Mouse jumper days circa 1986, I’ve been a fan of reversible clothing, and despite only wearing the side with the one big Mickey rather than the multitude of little Mickeys, I liked having options. Get this - I used to roll up the sleeves and show flashes of little Mickey (a true 80s chile), and to this day I’m smitten with linings. Especially great jacket linings (I’ve noticed the Peaches Geldof brigade are all rolling their sleeves up at the moment, alas not in preparation for hard labour but to show off their jacket linings). Why not go the whole hog and make it reversible – a two-piece bonanza, the economical choice. Who said fashion was frivolous?
This reversible cardi-coat by Helmut Lang is $795 from shopbop.com.
